The Nonno Cap - For those of us who would rather not be disturbed. 
 
This cap is crafted from 100% cotton. It features a curved brim, adjustable back strap, and an embroidered logo on the front and back.
 
I met a man not long ago on a quiet beach in Sicily. He walked past with a cigarette in his mouth, goggles on his head and a cap to top it all off - crusted with years and years of sea and sweat. Some may throw a cap out when its seen better days, but not this one. It held its structure, like cotton never should. The navy colour had faded to a pale pink. 
 
I told him, I like your cap. He said, thank you, I like yours, and then silently - we traded and laughed. 
 
A cap can be a best friend and if you truly treated it like one back, you'd wear it to death. I like to imagine that cap, the first one I designed, in 20 years time, still sitting on that man's head on that beach in Sicily, crusted in sea salt and perfectly patinaed.
